New Equations: Physical Expressions of the Soul
All answers lie within. The answers become available to you when your physical body and soul become aligned. New Equations has created easily reproducible physical practices. These practices teach you how to open the nine locations on your body that are portals through which your physical body can learn from your soul.
Alan Sheets is co-founder of New Equations, a body-based system that promotes the development of humanity's spiritual nature. He is a former research scientist, bodyworker in the Feldenkrais Method®, and is an accomplished martial artist. He also holds a black belt in Aikido.

Collaborative Couple Therapy: Turning Fights into Intimate Conversations
In Collaborative Couple Therapy, the therapist reveals the conversation concealed by the flames of the couple's fight or buried in the ashes of their withdrawal. Dan shows how to create an intimate conversation by bringing out the haunting feelings that each partner struggles with alone. At the same time, he provides a glimpse into the rarely revealed inner life of the couple therapist.
Daniel Wile, PhD, is a couple therapist in private practice in Oakland. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, has published three books and numerous articles on couples, and gives professional workshops nationally and internationally. John Gottman, Ph.D., a leading researcher in marital therapy, writes about him, "I think that Wile is a genius and the greatest living marital therapist."

The Poetic Body: Integrating Somatic Psychology and the Expressive Arts
A One-Day Symposium
Somatic Psychology and Expressive Arts are blessed with rich histories and vibrant professional communities. Both approaches rely on accessing untapped sources of implicit knowledge to deepen our understanding of being human and to strengthen our capacity for change.
Although both Somatic Psychology and the Expressive Arts work with the imagination and have developed sophisticated tools for undertaking the work of personal and cultural transformation, few opportunities for dialogue between these two communities currently exist. This symposium gathers together a wide-range of presenters for this purpose.
